Legal notice, trademarks and reports

This page collects the small print that keeps the site honest: whose names and marks are whose, what the software is built on, and how to report a problem or ask for a takedown. It is short on purpose.

1. About us

Who runs the site.

Inputize (“we”, “us”) operates inputize.pro and publishes the Inputize software. We keep the operating entity and its location private, as is common for small independent software projects; you can always reach us at the address below.

Contact for everything on this page: inputize@gmail.com.

2. No affiliation

The single most important clarification here.

Inputize is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or approved by any game publisher, developer, console manufacturer, anti-cheat vendor or peripheral brand. References to them exist only to describe compatibility or to compare products.

3. Trademarks

Whose names are whose.

Game titles, game logos, platform names and product names mentioned anywhere on this site are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners, and are used for identification and comparison only. That includes, without limiting the list, the names of shooter titles covered on our guides and pages, and the names of other input tools we compare against (for example reWASD, XIM and Cronus Zen). Using a name to refer to the product it names is not a claim to it.

4. Our content and third-party components

What is ours, and what is borrowed.

The text, code, design and screenshots made by us are our work and may not be copied wholesale without permission. Game art and covers belong to the publishers stated on this page; we do not claim them. The software is built on and ships with open-source and third-party components (for example the ViGEmBus virtual-controller driver), each governed by its own licence and credited to its author.

5. Reporting copyright infringement (DMCA-style)

How to file a notice that works.

If you own a right and believe something on this site infringes it, write to us first. Include: what the work is, the exact URL, your contact details, a statement that you are the owner or authorised to act for them, a statement that you believe the use is not authorised, and your signature. We review every notice and remove or change what genuinely infringes. We prefer fixing it by e-mail over a formal process, but we take both seriously.

6. Abuse and takedown requests

One address for every complaint.

For anything else — a security issue, a phishing copy of the site, a game publisher asking about compatibility or wording, or a hosting or registrar complaint — use the same address. A working contact and a fast, honest answer resolve almost every complaint long before it becomes a strike. Please include the URL and a short description.

7. Availability of this page

How updates to this page work.

This notice may be updated; the current version always lives here.
